Have you ever joined a trek before without any idea about the place? You just hold on to the promise that everything will be alright and then suddenly you find yourself reflecting while enduring the long walk…It happened to me during our Take Me To Mercedes familiarisation tour and here’s a glimpse of my soul searching moments.
You explore the wild and enjoy the little treats along the way…
But after some time, the effect of adrenaline rush starts to wear off and you slow down. You feel tired from keeping up with their pace just because you feel compelled to be in the pack.
Then suddenly you’re all by yourself… battling that fear of being left behind. Perhaps you feel discouraged to continue because the trail seems so long and you lose sight of what’s ahead. “Malayo pa ba?” You can’t help but repeatedly throw the question while gasping for air. |
It always means a lot when you have someone by your side… someone who will not leave you behind but instead cheer you on to keep going because for as long as you’re together, life is beautiful and you can fly like a delicate butterfly.
It’s okay to be tired and weary. Listen to your body… find your own rhythm and follow your own pace.
Even if you fall and slide, you’ll learn how to appreciate the moment because you’re assured that there will be kind and generous angels on earth... Angels who may have little yet can give the most.
And moments like this also makes you realize that sometimes falling is what you need to be able to live life to the fullest! |
