I must also admit that my decision to apply was influenced by the "fan" part of me. Ever since Korean drama series and movies hit the Philippine television during my teenage years, I instantly became a fan and my curiosity about Korean culture was fueled when I met some friendly Koreans during my various trips abroad. I've also been a Cross Cultural Understanding and Promotion (CCUP) advocate since my SSEAYP days when I had the privilege to be part of this discussion group together with other youth ambassadors of Japan and ASEAN, that is why knowing more about Korean Culture was really something interesting for me. With the strong Korean wave not only in the Philippines but in the whole world, who wouldn't want to understand this phenomenon right?! ;-)
WHAT IS PROJECT ANNYEONG? It is a series of events and activities which aims to introduce Korean Culture to the Philippines. It will also promote the Korean Cultural Center, facilities, classes offering and special events. --------------------------------------------------------- I was delighted when I receive the news that I passed the screening and interview. I am happy to be one of KCC Supporters Batch 1. As one of the KCC Supporters, I will assist in KCC events and classes on my available time, promote all related activities and welcome guests whenever I am in the center. I am also excited to share more about Korean culture through my blog posts and videos. SOON. |
Last January 30, 2015, I traveled back to Metro Manila to attend the orientation and to meet my fellow KCC Supporters. Lihn Dalangin, outgoing Events Coordinator, led the program and facilitated the Human Bingo game which I like! It gave me the chance to meet and greet other supporters in short period of time. And yes, with their help and amazing knowledge in K-pop, I also won the game and got a Korean Traditional Notebook as prize! ;-) |
