In case you're wondering why I seldom update this blog, well that's because I have been busy organizing different pop-up events and offline workshops.
Yes, that's right --- I noticed that despite being active on social media, nothing beats action on the ground. Offline engagement is walking the talk about what I share and post online especially about the topic that's close to my heart. INCLUSIVE GROWTH.
To celebrate the #WorldYouthSkillsDay I partnered with friends from the Local Government of Iriga City, the Iriga-Rinconada ICT Council and Think Coffee to host this #TAAPworkshop which was was attended by #Bicolano youth who were eager to learn about #ResponsibleBlogging and #SocialMedia.
This is part of our #TAAP initiatives in empowering the youth to be equipped with relevant #DigitalSkills which they can use to raise the status of their lives, apply for decent jobs and also share their advocacies.
"Digital transformation is happening so fast and the youth are digital natives yet they still lack the right set of skills to land a decent job!"
Education and training are key determinants of success in the labor market that's why we decided to celebrate the World Youth Skills Day by giving this FREE WORKSHOP to youth from Rinconada Area (Iriga City and nearby municipalities).
This workshop was open to youth ages 15 to 30 years old who like to learn about responsible blogging and social media marketing 101 as additional skills in order for them to find a freelance work online and/or enhance their employability in this digital economy.
This won't be the last time we're doing this kind of activity. Expect for more meaningful engagements and follow our TAAP CLUB for updates on how you can be part of our events.
This #YCCShareResponsibly initiative is part of how I am continuing my purposeful passion in #MakingADifferenceOneTripAtATime!
Here's a video blog created by one of our participants. Until next time!
