![]() At 216 lbs, people who haven't seen me personally often get shocked because of my portraits and tons of selfie. They usually tell me that my photos are very deceiving because I look thin. They thought I am slim and didn't have any idea that I am still a full-figured lady. Growing up, I don't really remember being in my ideal weight. I have been battling with my obesity since high school but that didn't stop me from finding ways on how to me more confident and comfortable with my body. One of my coping mechanisms includes facing the mirror and talking to myself, acknowledging my imperfections and highlighting my best features which then led me to my best angle. I used to avoid joining group pictures and even our family photo because I feel so awkward with my chubby face. I feel ugly whenever I see the prints and I cannot photoshop every photo just for me to look good. I have to be honest that out of feeling down, I even considered liposuction and other treatments. It came to a point that I was secretly wishing for Dra.Vicky Belo to become my fairygod mother! Watch this short video clip from my instagram and see for yourself why angle matters. I hope this video makes your day. Share your selfie tips and let's take more beautiful portraits! Know your best angle and you'll never look less pretty or fat in your photographs. Look at my most recent selfies and you'll realize that you too can look prettier with just a little twist and change in attitude. It maybe superficial but for a woman like me who constantly battles with weight issues, it's a big help when we can see our self-portraits a little better than the past. Vanity aside, it is important that you are familiar with your best angle. That way, you'll feel good about yourself and somehow you'll feel more confident too. Regardless of your weight, color, shape and size, remember that YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL!
