and fabulous? Actually, who are you NOT to be??
You are a child of God.Your playing small does NOT serve the world.
There is no-thing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We were born to manifest the Glory of God that is within us, ALL of us. And as we let our Light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fears, our presence automatically liberates others.”

INVEST IN YOURSELF
EDUCATE YOURSELF
Learn. Unlearn. Relearn.
Sometimes, being restless is also good because it paves the way for you to seek for something better. Don't get me wrong when I say "seek for something better". I believe that instead of looking for the greener pasture, you should focus on making your garden greener. That's why you need to trim unwanted weeds, manage the old ones and plant new seeds. Seek for better ways how you can toil your own garden and let the good grass grow greener.
While it's true that you can find different learning materials online and study it for free, one thing that makes this course unique and extra special is the "teacher" who practice what she preach. For those who are not yet familiar with the eCommerce industry and has little background about her, I just usually she's the MOTHER OF PHILIPPINE INTERNET/ E-COMMERCE/ BLOGGING. :-)
Ms. Janette Toral, our subject matter expert, is not only someone who knows the in and out of the industry, but also someone who is passionate about her advocacy in E-commerce and Education.
She really challenged me to be better in every assignment that I do and gave me practical tips on how I can accelerate my performance in this field.
Aside from sharing her knowledge and expertise, I also treasure her dedication to mentor students like me. Despite her hectic schedule, she finds time to do one-on-one consultation even late at night or early morning, may it be on weekends on weekdays. Basically, she can be virtually there for you 24/7. During the times that I feel discouraged, she was always there to show me the way and gave me a boost of confidence. With her motivation and guidance, I was able to execute my projects and finish this extensive course on a high note.
Ms.J is also very generous in sharing her blessings. She unlocks many wonderful opportunities for her students. May it be complimentary passes to her talks and workshops or collaborations and speaking engagements, you can always expect her to be there for you. She selflessly share her spotlight to aspiring digital influencers.
It was sometime in 2009 or 2010 when I had my first dibs on Digital Marketing from foreign speakers and became more interested in 2011 when I heard Mr.Donald Lim talked about it in a marketing conference so I started to study on my own by reading articles, cases studies and books online. Looking back, I really had a desire to pursue this field because I see it as a career that will empower me to work on projects wherever I am for as long as I am connected to the internet. Then 2012 came, I enrolled in Certified Digital Marketing Program and took some modules. Way back then, the learning fees were way more higher than today so I used my savings to invest in specialized education. Did I regret it? Nope. Definitely not! Though I wasn't able to finish all modules and complete the whole program because of a great blessing in disguise, I'm happy to note that this very specific website, www.solesearchingsoul.com was one of the products of that investment. I learned how to make a website even if I'm not a programmer or an IT person. I get acquainted with the concept of social media marketing and search engine optimization. Atleast I overcame the phase when my nose bleeds because of so many jargons... PPC, Impressions, SEM, Engagement, UI, UX, algorithm and a lot more! :-p
In 2013, I seriously contemplated if I should take my MBA or just finish the CDM. I was so confused and God must have felt it so He let my path crossed with Ms.Janet. Late last year I personally met her during their Next Big Waves City Roadshow. During our friend encounter, she mentioned about her CBSME program. For quiet sometime, I was just daydreaming about it. Before I knew it, I am done with it.
Now, it's not just a dream...
I'm living the dream!!!
I am now a Certified Blog and Social Media Entrepreneur.
With the upcoming ASEAN Integration, it is the high time for us to take specialized education and pursue professional development activities in order to stay relevant and competitive.
In our fast changing environment, you have to adapt technology and apply it, not only for your good but for the greater good of the society. Invest in your education. Invest in yourself. Use your new found experience to fuel your passion and advocacy as well as pursuit for growth and in the end, self attainment.
5 THINGS I ENJOYED THE MOST WHEN I TOOK CBSME (and still enjoying as of this time!)
1. Family Time - I get to study and work on my assignments without leaving the house. I get to spend more time with my parents at home. I get to travel with them and share the good times.
2. Workcation - Most people usually ask "are you even working?" To which I would just usually reply with a big smile. I don't really consider it work, especially when I'm having fun.
3. Flexibility - While I am still working on my time management issues, I am happy that I can be on my own pace and doesn't not have to stick to a daily routine while at the same time making sure that I am not sacrificing the output and quality of work.
4. Advocacy - Now I am more confident pursuing my passion while at the same time working on my advocacy. My CBSME journey let me experience the best of both worlds and I'm truly happy that it can support my personal mission, that is to make a difference one trip at a time. :-)
5. Relationship - ohh well, I'm human afterall! hehe. I get to rekindle connections with good old friends, spend time with college best friends, play with little kids and cousins and be a better person who values stronger relationships while pursuing her dreams.
With the support and guidance of all the people I've met,
I'm bound to make my own magic!
