As you may know, I first visited Daet when I was in college to attend my friend’s debut. What I can remember from that quick visit was that it almost looked like a ghost town with so many abandon-looking hotels and some thriving local businesses. It was disheartening that I even thought to myself, it will be hard to live in Daet. Even some friends expressed there’s nothing much to do. It’s boring.

How did it happen? Was it an overnight success? I heard people telling me stories about the good things that’s about to happen to Daet. I was surrounded with key personalities talking about it yet I was still skeptic about it. You might be wondering what changed my perspective... A lot of things I guess but most importantly, I see a common ground that struck my passion. | Passion for tourism promotions and digital marketing… hunger for knowledge and growth… and most of all, it’s about the desire to make a change, one trip at a time. |
| CHANCE ENCOUNTER I was strolling in Bagasbas beach when I saw Mayor Tito and her wife Ms.Connie playing with Bella. Mayor Tito introduced me to "balik-bayans" Dhon & Coy who owns Kick Milk Tea. |

TRIVIA: Mayor Sarion has a collection of Pineapple that comes in different forms, shapes, colors and design. Sometime in his life, he sold Daet's famous fruit in Manila in order to survive and make a living for his young family. Pineapple is very meaningful and symbolic in his personal life.
![]() Despite all the hardships that Daet has faced before and the challenges it faces even now, I realized that Daetenos won’t just don’t give up and never will! These people filled with love, hope and compassion for Daet makes me see the brighter things for Daet. They inspired me to come up with DATE IN DAET, a tourism advocacy campaign that aims to provide a getaway for Bicolanos & Bloggers to discover and rediscover Daet, Camarines Norte. It will be mix of online and offline activities that will let others experience and witness what Daet has become today and what it will become in the coming years. | SIGN-UP FORM FOR SPONSORS Date in Daet concept, objectives and how you can benefit from this tourism advocacy campaign. |
