This is a collection of inspiring stories about Daetenos and their little town called Daet.
Recently, I’ve been frequently visiting Daet, a laidback yet progressive town in the province of Camarines Norte, and I am enchanted by the tourism potential of this place which I never thought would be possible before.
As you may know, I first visited Daet when I was in college to attend my friend’s debut. What I can remember from that quick visit was that it almost looked like a ghost town with so many abandon-looking hotels and some thriving local businesses. It was disheartening that I even thought to myself, it will be hard to live in Daet. Even some friends expressed there’s nothing much to do. It’s boring.
To be totally fair, I guess their progress was affected when Andaya Highway opened which shortens the land travel time to major destinations in Bicol region bypassing this little town of Daet. Fast forward to 2014 and I tell you, so many things have changed!!! I remember Mark’s word, Daet Municipal Tourism Officer, “Para ka lang natulog at nanaginip, paggising mo ibang-iba na ang Daet.” True enough, I feel like I’m watching Daet’s reawakening everytime I visit this place! You'll get your dose of adrenaline rush when you visit Daet.

This is not the first time that I posted about Biggs online. Go check my foursquare to get a glimpse how often I eat at Bigg's Diner and what are my favorites. From special occasions to ordinary days with family and friends, Bigg's make it more special in an unexplainable way. I grew up with Bigg's and maybe for many true blooded Bicolanos, Bigg's has always been and will always be part of our lives.
Bigg’s is one of the homegrown brands that is making a name for Bicol. They are recognized for their “good food, not fast food.” While this diner is famous for its crispy “malaki & masarap” chicken, goto and iced tea, they are also well-known for serving one of the best burgers in the region and this time they really make a stand in burger category with their new BIGG’S TOWER BURGER.
Bloggers from all over Bicol region were invited and treated to a #BiggerBetterSummer. I had the opportunity to be one of those who were present for the bloggers launch of their summer campaign last Friday, April 11, 2014 at one of my favorite branches, Bigg's Magsaysay. It was an afternoon to remember especially for me because I had to say goodbye to my diet for the meantime and munch on the first ever tower burger in Bicol. I bet you'll run to the nearest Bigg's after you watch this video made by Mon of Adventures of a Freelance Yuppy.
Don't forget to read more about the Tower Burger and why you'll love it BIGG time!
There are many fun & FREE you can enjoy when you visit this wide-long stretch of beach in Daet, Camarines Norte.
